REDARC and ST Engineering team up for vehicle electronic solutions
Adelaide-based REDARC Defence & Space has signed a partnership with Singapore Technologies offshoot ST Engineering Advanced Networks and Sensors Pte Limited to provide vehicle electronic solutions to the Australian Defence Force (ADF).
REDARC has assessed Singapore’s ST Engineering’s suite of electronic solutions and deemed them competitive and appropriate for the ADF, having been fully tested and qualified in accordance with the standards required.
REDARC also have the manufacturing and testing infrastructure required to facilitate the building and testing of the products locally as required, further building Australian capabilities and boosting the company’s Adelaide workforce.
REDARC Defence & Space General Manager, Scott Begbie, said he was confident the partnership would deliver the best possible results.
“This partnership brings together two highly respected organisations with the common goal of providing a suite of fully qualified, Australian manufactured solutions to the Australian Defence Force,” said Mr Begbie.
ST Engineering’s Senior Vice President, International business, Advanced Network & Sensors, Andy Tan, explained the company has high hopes for the partnership.
“We are hopeful that this collaboration, which combines ST Engineering’s proven vehicle electronics solutions and REDARC’s manufacturing infrastructure, will lead to a competitive and robust solution that will meet the stringent standards of the Australian Defence Force and enhance their operational readiness,” said Mr Tan.
The collaborative venture will also support sustainability and operational readiness for the ADF long term with REDARC having the ability to provide timely responses for spares and repairs.
